Firstly, my name is Durrant. I'm a journalist from Kingston, Jamaica. For the past eight years of my life I have been concentrating on school. I'm now doing my Masters at the Mona School of Business, University of the West Indies; I am single and now it's becoming miserable - after all I've been this way for the past three years. Right now I feel that I'm ready to make that bold step but there is no one 2 step with me. :-(

Seriously though, I'm just trying to make a little more room in my life to deal with my personal issues. I'm bored and need 2 go out more and have fun. But as you can imagine, with school it's not that easy though God knows, I know I need the break.

I love my country and I have decided to remain here despite many of my friends and relatives moving to North America. Ironically, this conviction of mine is influenced by the words of John F. Kennedy of the US: Ask not what your country can do for you... Ask what you can do for your country!"

Family is very important to me; so too are my friends.

There is much more 2 tell but I'll save some for another time. So that's me in a nutshell.

The first thing you will notice about me is that I believe in the value of friendship. Next you will notice that I love animals. I am a patriot who has a deep love for my country and my people.

Moonlight dinners, soft music, well dressed women, alluring perfume, healthy environment. Yes, I am a romantic; I believe in pampering my significant other.

A dirty house, unkept person, foul odours, insensitivity, lies, dishonesty, being taken for granted, I hate when people mock others - particularly if they have some physical difficulties.

Sports, particularly cricket; watching movies; playing video games; outdoor activities; driving through the countryside; swimming; love making :); being in good company with friends who make me laugh; country cookouts around a great wood fire; playing dominoes with friends; spending time with my honey - alas, when there is one :-D.

Anything sci-fi (Star Wars, Transformers, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings), action (Gladiator, Shaft, The Three Musketeers, The Man in the Iron Mask, Rocky) and martial arts (anything with Jet Li, Chow Yun Fat or Jackie Chan). I also love comedies (Abott and Costello, Tyler Perry movies, John Ritter, Chris Rock, The Pink Panther, Cedric the Entertainer), Westerns (anything with John "The Duke" Wayne, Gene Autry) and good drama and mystery movies - absolutely anything with Humphery Bogart. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers are da bomb! Gregory Hines, Savion Glover and Sammy Davis Jr. simply perfect...

Looks like I enjoy pretty much anything :-D

I like all kinds of music. I'm someone who appreciates good, quality music. Ask me and I'll tell you what I mean by "good" and "quality".

I hate reading even though I am a journalist and I must read a lot - the truth is I don't like to read. I only do it because it's necessary!

I have a passion for good company, exotic fruits, good food and driving through the Jamaican countryside. I love nature, my family and my close friends.

I love cricket - it's almost a passion! :-) I love football, lawn tennis, wrestling and netball. The Sunshine Girls have got me interested in netball... I dearly love athletics.

I enjoy hiking and taking long strolls even though I don't do much of this anymore. I enjoy surfing the net, watching movies, listening to music, investigating the news (my job).

I don't do as much tv watching as I have done in the past because I am completing my MBA. However, I enjoy action packed shows.

Italian, Chinese and Jamaican.

One in which everything goes right and at the end of the evening both parties do not want to leave each other because they know that they have found someone meaningful.

Be careful when deciding on your partner; value a woman's input in your endeavours i.e. bring your lady into your confidence when making important decisions in your life; it's better to find a friend who loves you than a friend who you love :-( I know this sounds selfish but it's true. When you love someone you allow them the possibility of hurting you. If they love you they will not hurt you deliberately.

My daughter; love; freedom to be who I want to be; good companionship and entertainment.

Bed, tv, fan, all the things that bring comfort...

Someone who shares the same dreams and aspirations that I have and who is committed to achieving them as well. Also she must desire me as much as I desire her.
