Zeeleventz plans to organise a show that would revisit the golden years of Hindi film music & bring alive on stage some of those voices. After the tremendous response we got from music lovers for 'EK Prayas' & 'Ehsaas', our two musical shows, we were obligated to present another enthralling musical treat for them. So keeping with our tradition of presenting high quality, but unconventional musical shows, we have conceptualised a novel theme for our show this time.
This show would be an all female musical fest!
The female singers & musicians would render some of the unforgettable solos that were once vocalized by the likes of Suraiyya, Shamshad Begum, Lata Mangeshkar, Geeta Bali & other inimitable nightingales!
Zeeleventz expects this show to not just be a music fest but also be a platform for talented young singers & musicians to showcase their skills in front of a music savvy audience. As we are inviting the electronic & print media to cover the show, these talents would also benefit in terms of publicity & exposure.
And to top it all we have decided to present this event free for music lovers!
Though we are not oblivious to the impediments that arise when organising such a novel show, we are confident that with the kind of love that music enjoys among our people, we will be able to materialize this concept into a musical treat for everyone!
Tentatively planned to be held in May 2008, Zeeleventz is in search of sponsors who would lend financial support to us in organizing this free event. The financial contributions would be highlighted in the show & due publicity accorded to sponsors.
